In this book, Grace Lee provides an inside glimpse into a battle with racial prejudice and a fight to survive. Growing up as a child of an interracial marriage in Japan after World War II was a unique experience and provided the backdrop that launched Grace into the realm of a successful career focus on international marketing. This amazing story of how she learned to transform her danger and others prejudice by greeting hostility on the street with a welcoming smile, turning fear into curiosity, and sometimes into friendship is the basis on which she currently teaches others to overcome adversity and build confidence through social graces.
Little Caterpillar in Training

Follow through this story of a bewildering childhood that many have found inspiring and uplifting while you get insights into how the universe works, the “why” of suffering and how to transcend it, and how to gain the strength to survive in your world. Though she was “a little caterpillar in training” in a hostile environment, there was always a “Presence” that provided her never-ending assurance that someday she would be the butterfly that shares its courage with others so they can face the challenges of fulfilling their destinies.

As our world is quickly changing and many are seeking insights into Asian culture, this book accommodates our current fascination with the subtle nuances associated with the differences and the similarities between our individual and global perceptions. The differences seem to set us apart, but at the same time, they make life interesting and unique. The differences we experience offer a never ending opportunity for discovery and learning. The similarities offer us some common ground that can be used to build wonderful relationships with others. This book offers the wisdom to celebrate our new world of relationships and cultural experiences through Grace's personal transformation.
