Mr. Ed and his owner - from the horses mouth!

Information Architect, author, speaker, instructor, musician and composer Teo Graca (me talking in the 3rd person) blabs about himself a bit... (aren't you tired of people talking about themselves in the 3rd-person... let's try something different!)

Hey! I'm Teo, and I have compiled this short history of my career for the curious, straight from the horse's mouth. Who better to tell you about me than me! I think I have done a lot in my life so far,  but not even close to what I want to get done, but Lord willing, I will have time to get a few more things done.

Background 1984-1996:

I studied music and computer science in college and had some video production experience in high school. Although I started my career as a performing musician (bassist) and composer, I also created a sound production company providing sound production for others and some of the groups I performed with. In 1987 I set up a music studio and produced and published music for others and myself. I also worked as a copy writer, journalist, assistant editor and editor for several music publications at the time - music rags.

Background 1992-1996:

Although busy with music, I had been moving more into video production, publishing and writing. I quit performing music in 1993 after investing in three additional businesses - a photo lab, copy shop and a video production company. My music production studio functioned through the beginning 1996, but I had sold most my interests in 1995. I had been working with BBS (Bulletin Board Systems - the precursor to the Internet) since the late 80's and finally built my first website in 1994. I soon found a new career developing websites and Internet applications for large businesses.

Background 1996-2006:

I worked as a consultant through the late 90's and through 2006 for Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies, government, telecommunications and a few small businesses building and designing information systems using all of the latest technologies as soon as they came out. I have watched the Internet go from being nothing (nobody used it in 1994) to something everybody uses today. It's been difficult keeping up with the changes and best practices, but that has been my focus for over a dozen years now.

Background 2006-2010:

My projects during this time included the Net-Teams hosted information systems, which I personally designed and helped build. All of the Net-Teams companies use these systems to provide a high-quality content management, relationship management and business-to-business networking.

These technologies have extended into the areas of scheduling, billing, inventory, marketing, branding and other areas. These include:

  • Blogging and Content Management System
  • Relationship Management System (RMS)
  • Course Management, eCommerce and Video Delivery Systems
  • Social Media Syndication - Social Media Marketing Applications and Services
  • Micro Site Designer Systems

Net-Teams is currently focused on integrations with other applications from Fortune 500 companies. including PayPal, Google, aWeber, FaceBook, iPhone, T-Mobile, AT&T, FEDEX, Yahoo! and many others. Net-Teams core framework is at the center of them all and provides shared data over multiple domains and provides features like single sign on, viral marketing, video distribution and collaborative conveniences.

Current:

I have been building custom applications and integrations for FaceBook, writing business plans, and building marketing campaigns. I wrote my first real book in 2009 on social media marketing and have since written or helped write a number of eBooks on a variety of subjects. I love to research and document interesting social changes, technology developments and historical facts that are not well-known or generally misunderstood. Since 2006, I have written around 400 articles, and have only published about half of them.

Some of my new personal projects include:

  • eWorkshop Courses - me showing people how to do stuff with Camtasia videos!
  • MotivationSys - I love quotes and decided to share my 1,000+ favorites with some fun pics of the authors!
  • MusicSys - Over 130 of my recorded tunes... most old, but some new!
  • VineyardExplorer - My newest project providing Internet videos for wineries...
